So why am I doing this blog?
I've been a fan of the Good Pub Guide for several years, I love a good pub and have always carried the book with me on trips around the UK. I have found many true gems of pubs while out and about around the UK thanks to the guide. There is nothing better than finding a really good pub in the countryside with a warm fire a nice pint and a friendly atmosphere. However I realised recently that I'd hardly been to any of the 'good pub guide pubs' in London. Being from London and having lived here all my life I decided that it would be fun to visit all of the pubs listed in the main section of the good pub guide for London during 2011. There are 59 to go to and enjoy.
I'm also a fan of real ale and a CAMRA member so will be looking forward to a few nice ales. So I make no apologies if this blog is a bit heavy on the ale. I will try to include some information for lager drinkers too.
